Preparations

Things were getting a bit crazy as we were trying to wrap up teaching for the first semester and get ready for our guests from the States. We had noticed a new restaurant right outside of our neighborhood that always has cars parked in front of it so we decided to give it a try. Rusty had the fish and chips, and I had a black pepper chicken steak.

 Both of the plates were delicious! The Thai food is on the expensive side so we stuck to western dishes.

 They had cute decorations set up around the restaurant along with inspirational quotes painted on the walls.

Part of the reason we went out to eat is because we've been so busy trying to finish up our outside projects. Pawn's mother spent a few more days with us after the party we had, and she was very busy in the yard every day. She and Pawn built Texas a new house, and while Pawn was cleaning house she did other things as well. She planted us some new banana trees, cleaned out flower beds, helped set up the bed for our guest, and many other things. She was just itching to help me with the painting so she even did some of that before the rain drove us inside. Every time she sat down to rest, she said she had to get up and work or she would get a headache.

I was really hoping that she would stick around until our guests got here from the States, but I think she was ready to get home. I think everyone would have really enjoyed meeting her.
