Road Trip Day 2

Day two of our road trip started off with sleeping in. Boy, was that refreshing! We felt great even though we missed the free breakfast. That wasn't very Thai of us! We paid for it so we should have used all of the services. Haha! Of course when you have a huge king size bed with a two-inch memory foam topper, it's hard to get up! It was so comfortable we're now shopping for a new mattress topper for home. It's bad when you're more comfortable in a hotel room!

The room also get very cold with a great air conditioner!

We had a poolside room although it was more like a pool corner room. There were very few people using the pool so it was relaxing.

Our hotel has bungalows with paths around the property that make you feel like you're in the jungle even though you're in the city.

I uploaded pictures of real plants and flowers only. We have one beautiful shot of an absolutely beautiful patch of purple orchids. On the second day I realized they were fake!

 

After a swim we headed out to find some supper. We used to go to a hamburger shop that was located on the golf course at the old airport, but it's now out of business. Lots of people are still using the airstrip for exercising! There were bikers, walkers, runners, and even some using exercise equipment on the sides.

 

Of course where there are people there are snack stands! We didn't find anything to buy so we stopped by 7-11 and returned to the room.
