At the end of July we had the first Thailand Missionary Baptist Institute graduation. Two students, Pawn and Johnson, completed their four years of study. We are so blessed that we have been able to invest in the lives and studies of these two students. Because Pawn lives with us, we have seen a lot of changes throughout the last three-and-a-half years. They have both studied hard and remained faithful to finish their courses.
The event was a special night for everyone. We had a catered meal and lots of good fellowship.
We had to take lots of pictures with the graduates. I chose to include this one...two instructors and two graduated.
Rusty was asked to give the commencement sermon. Our desire is for these two students to realize that graduation is not an end but a beginning. They should continue to study and do the work of God. They should have the tools to read and understand for themselves, teach others what God's Word says, and in turn invest their lives in new disciples. May the cycle continue!
