All of the baptisms were special to us. Getting to be a small part of the lives of these three have been a special blessing.
Bang Bon (the young boy in the pic checking out the water) was saved a couple of weeks ago at the cell group meeting at Brent and Tawm's house. I believe the topic of the end times came up, and we wanted to be saved right then. P' Nii is the adult on the left. I can't even remember when she started attending Antioch, but it seems like a long time ago. She even studies at the seminary so Rusty has had lots of good discussions with her in the class. She's excited about learning! The last is our niece Kaimook. Many of you may have met her while she was in America last summer. She spent the summer with Rusty's family, and I know they're all excited she followed the Lord in baptism.
Of course there was lots of eating happening too. We bring our own food, but there are lots of food vendors all along the waterfall too. The ice cream man came through several times. One of the moms that went with us bought us some to enjoy on the hot afternoon.
After the eating it was time for the water fun. We had four moms and six kids that went with us from our neighborhood ESL class. One of the little boys played in the water the whole day. Three of the moms listened to the preaching with their kids, and two of the moms watched the baptisms too. The two that made it through the baptisms also had lots of questions about what they had seen. Pawn rode in the back of the truck and was able to share with them. Some of them had heard "Christian" teachings before, but we never know what that means. It very easily could be it was not the Truth.
Of course Rusty and I are always happy to provide free child care. Rusty loves playing with the babies, and they seem to like him ok too. This little guy is five months old, and he's getting so big!
Easter Sunday was a great day, and we enjoyed it. Too bad Easter falls during hot season here. :) But of course that probably only bothers me. As one of the little kids said on the way home, why do farangs have it so cold everywhere? And another quote from our smallest passenger...farangs drive the fastest! Too cute! It sounds like we're on the extreme end no matter what we do.
