Around Town

This summer we had our first real health problems with our interns--at least a health problem that required an early return to the States. When Alex arrived on the field he was immediately under the weather. When Rusty took him to the schools on the first day, he only made it to lunch time and then had to come home. Then after he spent some time resting up, he had a bout with bronchitis. After that his stomach problem (which was a previous condition) kept him from being able to really function on the field. We knew that we would be going to Isaan soon where we would have even less control of the food that we eat and would be living farther away from adequate health care should an emergency happen. With all of that in mind Alex chose to change his ticket for an earlier return.

We scrambled at the last minute to fit in a few tourist stops. For some reason they wanted to go to Tiger Kingdom. I have never been to Tiger Kingdom, but now that I've been there it's not as scary as the pictures seem.  There were people everywhere! I was surprised at how popular this attraction is.

Adam's blurry in this pic because when the tiger moved, so did he. :) Adam's blood pressure went up that day.
