Christmas Books

It's amazing how God gives us opportunities in the classroom to share with our students. We don't abuse the graciousness of our hosts who allow us access to their students, but we don't shy away from the questions that we receive daily from our students and the teachers. Christmas has given us a good opportunity to pass out tracts and booklets about the real meaning of Christmas.

This year we were able to order Christmas Hope booklets again. We were able to secure 1200 of them to pass out to our local students and mail to our students in Issan. This ministry also blessed us with many extra booklets that we'll be able to pass out to students who ask for more information.

Pawn and I stamped all of the booklets with our contact information, and it didn't take long to pass them out. The students were excited to receive them, and we had a good time having them read to us how you can receive the precious gift of salvation. We would review that over and over with the kids making sure they could tell us. Yes, they do have to choose it for themselves, but how can they believe if they don't hear? Praise God for the opportunity to be part of His witness in the lives of others.

Since this post is being written a couple of months past the month of December, I can post an update about the lasting usefulness of the booklets. As we were teaching about Valentine's Day in the class, the students took out their Christmas books to see if they could find the answers to our questions.When looking for a definition for love, they chose to search the greatest love story ever written--that Jesus Christ would die for us so that we might have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
