We had originally wanted to go to China to visit a friend, but things didn't work out with plane tickets. They were just too expensive...maybe someday we will get to go. We took off for a city to the north of us. That's our favorite getaway spot anyway. The weather is usually a little cooler than our city, and we like the smaller town. Of course that also creates a few problems. It's harder to find parking spots, and traffic seems to be worse because the streets are smaller.
On the way to our getaway spot we stopped off at a temple where a lot of people like to stop for pictures. It's a bit different because it's all white.
There were pleasant waterways around the temple, and the grounds were well-kept.
These are hands that are reaching out of hell. We liked the Keep Out sign just behind it. We think that's good advice.
Upon closeup inspection, we found these were signs for the restrooms. Pretty fancy signs on the side of a gold temple! I guess if we had never gone close enough to find out what the signs were for, we could have made up a good story about them. 
Since all of the Thai people were posing for pictures with this cardboard cutout, I talked Rusty into doing it too. Now if I just knew who he is...
Rusty grew up near 71 in Texarkana. We liked the 71 minimart we saw. We usually see a lot of 7-11 stores, but this was our first 71 mini-mart. We should have stopped to see if they had some good bologna and cheese sandwiches like the Rock Store in Texarkana has.
