Last year we took a two week break around the time of Songkran, and we plan to do the same this year. The kids requested to do a water night at the house again so we set the date for this past Thursday night. The kids enjoyed it, and I think we adults did too!

The first game involved a race to see which team could pull out the most marbles using just one foot. They were pretty good at this game!
Nam had so much trouble with this game. She had trouble with it last year too! We decided to change it up just a bit. The team that caught the most water in their bucket below the chair was the winner.

Here Rusty and I are demonstrating how to carry a balloon between the backs of two people and then dropping it in the bucket. Running the games didn't seem like such hard work at the time, but my body sure was sore the next morning!
Some of the kids really got into trying to find the jelly candies in the whipped cream. I really liked this video because it shows just how much fun the kids were having. This game really got the laughter and excitement going! And they really enjoyed putting handprints on the back of Rusty's shirt! :)

The neighbors came over again, and the little girl played with some of the "big" kids. This time the father, mother, and grandmother came over.

We ended the evening with some snacks, and we gave the students some school supplies for playing the games. Pawn let them know that even though we wouldn't have class for two weeks, they were still all invited to go to Easter services with us at the waterfall. Gam was a bit shocked when we said we wouldn't have class for two weeks, and she wanted to make sure she could still go to church with us. :) Fruit may take a long time, but it sure is sweet when you start to taste it!
