Mom's Visit Part 2

About half way into Mom's visit we had two more guests arrive. Constance and Alison who are both recent graduates from ETBU came to visit and work for a month. We took them all on several tourist outings together, and one of the highlights was the elephant show.
After the show we had the opportunity to pose with the elephants for some group shots. The elephants know what to do to make a good picture. Then we were off for a 30 minute elephant ride through the jungle. I think Mom was really hanging on. Our guide also took us down into the water at one point and proceeded to get off of the elephant. :O
We took the neighborhood ESL class on an outing to our special market close to our house. We had to have quite a few chaperones for these kids. :) The idea was to get them to tell us about the food and stuff, but unfortunately the real talkers of the class didn't get to go with us.
P' Nee, one of the members of Antioch took us out for a day of shopping. We went to see the paper umbrella factory, the silver shops, and the big market downtown. It was a fun day of shopping!
Mom also spent a day getting introduced to the schools that we will be working at this year. Most of them we taught at last year also so she was able to spend time with some of the kids that you all have been meeting through pictures. It's going to be a busy year, but I think the kids and teachers are ready!
