This is the last post about Mom's visit.
We actually had to return to this tea shop to get this picture. The first day we went it rained heavily for quite a while. I was more worried about remembering my umbrella than I was in bringing the camera in. Oh well...it gave us an opportunity to try more items on the menu. Mom really fell in love with iced coffee here. The prices are reasonable, and there are a lot of flavors to choose from!
Mom wanted to experience village life while she was here as well. Previously when we had gone to help Pawn's grandmother, the people kept asking us to come back and teach. This Saturday was a convenient time for them, and we headed out. We split into two groups with Constance and Alison teaching the younger kids, and Rusty and I taught the teenagers.
This was also the day that Pawn's grandmother received Christ as her personal Savior. There are no coincidences. Everything we did was a part of God's plan and His timing. Praise Him!
Of course Mom found a baby to hold. She looks like a natural!
Pawn also taught a Bible lesson after the English lessons were finished. I was supposed to help with the flannelgraphs, but there were too many scene changes for me. Rusty took over and did a good job.
Ahhh....farang food! After hearing us talk so much about the Duke's, Mom was ready to try it. We ate there several times while she was here because it's home to probably the best burger in town, and my mom loves a good hamburger! After having so many guests this summer, we've probably had enough, and our waistlines are ready to get back to our normal routine.
No trip would be complete without doing some shopping at the famous night bazaar. We like to go on Sunday nights because it's a bit quieter on the streets as most people are at the Sunday night market.
The time sped by, and then it was time for Mom to get back on the plane to the States. She did an excellent job on the trip, and I hope she enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed having her here.
