Thai School Bus

The children usually take the pickup trucks to school. There are two or sometimes three bench seats in the back of the truck with a covering. There are also some teenaged boys hanging off the back too. You can fit a lot of school kids on the back of the truck. Rusty took this video in Isaan of kids loading up to go home. They do it a little bit different in Isaan than what we usually see in the city.

Of course I can remember sitting in the back of trucks when I was a kid before it became illegal in the US. It was always a big treat--something we begged to be able to do. I'm not sure the kids beg to do it here--it's just a way of life.
