New

There are two new babies at church now. We've only gotten to meet one so far. Families here usually keep the baby in for a while. This little girl Eve is 2 months old now, but she still feels like a newborn to me! I didn't get to hold her for a while because I had a cold when she first came to church.
I also got an early Christmas present this year. It's the yearly celadon sale here, and I was able to get a new set of dishes. These are grade B, but I'm still really pleased with them. Celadon has a crackled glaze, and I think it's really pretty. You can buy it in a variety of colors including green, blue, and a deep burgundy. Mine have a pretty brown border painted around the edges which reminds me of sandstone. It has a rough non-glazed feel to it. The solid color is cream, and that is where the crackled glaze is. These dishes are the same pattern the Shangri-la hotel uses. It's a fancy schmancy hotel downtown here. So when we eat dinner at home we'll have to hold out our pinkies while we're drinking from the tea cups.
I also bought this pretty pitcher to double as a flower vase. I can't wait to buy some pretty yellow flowers for it.
