Christmas Eve Gift!

We found out this year that playing the Christmas Eve Gift game long distance can be quite difficult. Rusty started by leaving it on the answering machine at his parents' house. Others tried to get us on Facebook. We tried to teach Pawn--I think she did get Hope's family.
Brent, Tawm, and Owen came over for breakfast. We had dishes with lots of eggs, but I was able to handle it ok. Then we exchanged gifts with them.
This had to be one of our funniest gift stories. Rusty opened our gift from Brent and Tawm, and it was a desk planner. We had been thinking about getting one. :) Then Tawm told Rusty to read the card out loud. It was all about thanking us for having them over for breakfast and wishing us a merry Christmas. Then the p.s. said the planner was Tawm's so please give it back to her...the real present was in the back of their truck. Haha! This was a great present! It was a certain kind of flower Rusty has been wanting for a long time. I'm not sure what it is called, but the flower hangs upside down when it blooms. We have some "normal" ones already in the yard, but this is our first special one. It's already in the ground and hopefully thriving.
After Brent, Tawm, and Owen left (unfortunately in the middle of our new Veggie Tales movie) we got busy making Christmas dinner. We had all of the trimmings but again no turkey. I guess we're just not interested in spending the money on the turkey. We had fun and watched the Charlie Brown Christmas videos.
