Chiang Rai Retreat

We left out Saturday morning for a few days retreat up north. Our Thai teacher went down south for a friend's wedding so we took the opportunity to do some exploring in the north. We decided to be our usual adventurous selves and set out with no particular plan in place. We have not really had the opportunity to do much exploring here, and we knew we had to start sometime.

We knew we wanted to stay in a nice but cheap hotel so we had done some research on the internet. Once we got to Chiang Rai, we found the prices were more expensive than what we had seen on the internet so we stopped at a coffee shop to book online. While there Rusty met another farang who told us about a great hamburger place...the best hamburgers in Chiang Rai. An American/Filipino couple own a driving range and restaurant on an old Air Force base. It pays to talk to people!
