Here are a few pics from our Songkran. We mainly stayed at home this year having fun together...watching movies, eating, and playing games. But Mimi called us one afternoon saying she didn't have anyone to go play in the water with her, so we got ready and loaded up.
This banner advertising the upcoming Songkran holiday makes it look so peaceful, and in some aspects it still is. When people are using the water for blessings it is more subdued. Often when you're playing people will sprinkle you with water first before the bucket comes out. :)
For me it was much more fun to be in the back of a truck than walking along the moat. Although we were small in number we had fun Even I got cold. Pawn really like seeing me shiver. We at some food before returning home. It was a fun afternoon--short enough to not get tired of the water but long enough to get in some good water-fighting.
