We recently celebrated Rusty's 37th birthday. We usually like to spend our birthdays at home--we're kind of homebodies like that. I guess it's because we spend so much of our time going, preparing, and being a part of things we look forward to quiet nights at home. It also gives us an excuse to buy and eat something we would not normally eat.

This year Rusty wanted steak and shrimp. This is a popular choice with us; it's what I picked last year for my birthday as well. This time we really splurged and bought an imported sirloin from Australia. They really know their beef! I'm so glad that we spent the extra money and bought a good quality steak. We can buy two imported steaks for a little bit cheaper than it would cost us to order pizza. Pizza has probably been replaced. Well maybe not completely! :)

We played a few rounds of Mexican Train. Poor Pawn. She had to get the calculator out on one hand. I think she set a record for the most points in one round.

We finished off the evening with a carrot cake with cream cheese and pecan icing. Hopefully Rusty had a great birthday. I'm so thankful for him and thankful that God has blessed him with another year. I love him more and more each year and am very thankful God brought us together. There's no one I'd rather be with.
