As Carmen Was Leaving...

On the Sunday after we returned from Isaan it was time to say goodbye to Carmen. She decided to wear her 7-Eleven shirt from the night bazaar back on the plane. We were surprised she didn't wear one of her moo-moo's that she bought here. :)

We all felt really sad that she was leaving. She was our last guest of the summer, and she was with us the longest. Carmen brought so many good things to the field here. She had such a desire to work and serve here that it was an encouragement to us to see a young person with a heart like hers.
We really liked this picture because we thought Carmen must have really enjoyed her time here and felt at home since she now has a Thai passport.

As we were leaving the airport, the rain was coming down pretty hard. We often get hard rains during rainy season, but it's when they last longer than the 20 minute rain shower that there could be problems. After it rained like this all night, there was a lot of flooding during the next week.
