Censored

We were out and about today getting some lunch and working on getting our propane tank filled. Our propane ran out while I was cooking lunch yesterday so we were checking out our options. We didn't know if we wanted to refill our big tank or get two smaller ones. We ended up just refilling because a smaller tank was more expensive than what we thought. And if we didn't get two we weren't going to be any better prepared.

So we went downtown to get some good Mexican food. Fish tacos...yummy! Picture us sitting in an open-air cafe, eating some good Mexican food, sipping lemonade and water, and enjoying our time together. It's a busy downtown; traffic is usually heavy as there are streets on the inside of the moat and outside. It's lunchtime so lots of people are out and about getting lunch or running errands. Tourists are wandering around shopping and almost getting run over. As we were leaving, Rusty found an opportunity for a great picture. A man was swimming in the moat right under a sign that said no swimming. Rusty was about to snap a picture when the guy decided to get out of the moat. There he was downtown, out of the water, and naked! Thai people are usually very modest. You might see little kids using the bathroom on the side of the road, children taking a splash shower at the market, people swimming in the moat with their bathing suits on, but it's nothing like this. We even have some women who bathe outside across from our house, but they keep covered the whole time (which is subject for another post sometime). But this guy didn't have a care in the world...he just sat under a tree and got dressed. I'm just thankful that Rusty told me not to look and that we didn't get the picture!
