Rusty earns major points with our Thai teacher every day. His assignment for Friday was to teach one of the Bible stories that we have been covering in class. Of course Rusty was not satisfied with just a simple retelling of the Bible story...his class has to be fun! He pulled out all the stops and has a Bible story complete with flannelgraph pictures. Khruu Meow liked it as you can tell she's seated on the floor watching. Most importantly though we're learning how to communicate about the Bible. It can be hard because there are special words when talking about God and the king. So in some ways, it's like learning a different language. For example you have to learn the word for a regular person's foot, and then you have to learn a special word for the foot of Jesus. It's the same with verbs. Sometimes you have to put a special word in front of the verb, and sometimes it's a completely different word when you're talking about God. As if I wasn't confused enough with learning a new language. :)
