Mae Fah Luang Garden

Before leaving Chiang Rai, we got to visit the Mae Fah Luang Garden. The Princess Mother began initiatives which would prevent the further deforestation of the area with the following mission statement:
"Mae Fah Luang Foundation was set up to raise the quality of life of those deprived of opportunities in order for them to enjoy a better life through education, become self-reliant and be driven to create life opportunities while having a concern for the forest so that the principle of co-existence between man and forest could be appreciated. The Foundation also encourages the conservation of Lanna and tribal arts, traditions and cultures."
We just visited one small part--the Mae Fah Luang Garden. This is also where I found out Bryan takes secret videos and I say "Brrrryyyyaaaannnn" way too much.

On the way back to Chiang Mai that evening, we had Thai class with Hope. Yes, that was the beginning of Bryan's infamous phrase, "Yum yum chow ming." That means breakfast.
